Why "is $99 expensive?" is the wrong question
Asking "is $99 expensive?" puts the focus in the wrong place. $99 is a fixed, one-time, small cost. It is not the deciding variable. The deciding variable sits on the other side of the equation: the value of one hour of your work multiplied by the number of hours you actually save.
Put your time into dollars. A freelance developer bills somewhere in the range of $8-30/hour depending on experience and the type of work; an in-house dev can divide a monthly salary by ~160 hours and land on a similar number or higher. The variables you need to fill in:

Read the table correctly: the Conservative row is the real test. If even saving just 1 hour/week at a low rate still produces triple-digit positive ROI, then the financial risk of $99 is tiny. The thousand-percent figures on the right look "too good" - and they are; they balloon fast because the $99 denominator is so small. Do not use them to market to yourself. Anchor your decision to the Conservative row.
Narrative example (illustrative - your numbers will differ): a task I hit often is scaffolding a new CRUD service (schema, routes, validation, a test skeleton) and then having an agent review it. Done by hand, even with practice, it still eats about half a morning; with a backend skill plus a ready-made review agent, the repetitive part shrinks noticeably, while the part I actually have to think through still needs thinking. The exact number depends on your repo and how familiar you are with it - so measure, do not trust the promise.
Real productivity evidence (do not swallow "10x" blindly)
The sales page shouts "10x faster" and "ship in hours not weeks." That is a slogan, not a measurement method. To calculate ROI honestly, look at independent research - both the good side and the bad.
